Melissa Appleyard, Ph.D., Professor, Associate Dean of Graduate Programs, Ames Professor Management of Innovation and Technology
Dr. Appleyard's research focuses on how knowledge creation and diffusion catalyze economic growth and business longevity in technology-intensive industries. Over the past decade, she has concentrated on the global semiconductor industry's ability to achieve perpetual innovation in design, process integration, and manufacturing. She also has examined open innovation business models in the open-source software sector, as well as the payoffs to interdisciplinary R&D. Professor Appleyard's work has been published in leading academic journals such as California Management Review, Industrial Relations, the Journal of Product Innovation Management, Managerial and Decision Economics, and the Strategic Management Journal.

Talya Bauer, Ph.D., Professor, Gerry & Marilyn Cameron Professor of Management
Dr. Bauer conducts research about relationships at work. More specifically, she works in the areas of leadership, selection, and new employee socialization which have resulted in dozens of journal publications. She has acted as a consultant for government, Fortune 1000, and start-up organizations. She has been a visiting professor in France and Spain and at Google, Inc. Dr. Bauer is involved in professional organizations and conferences at the national level such as serving on the Human Resource Management Executive Committee of the Academy of Management and SIOP Program Chair, member-at-large, and President. She is an Associate Editor of Journal of Applied Psychology and is on the editorial boards for the Journal of Management, Personnel Psychology and Industrial and Organizational Psychology: Perspectives on Science and Practices. She is a Fellow of SIOP, APA, IAAP, and APS. She has co-authored four textbooks "Organizational Behavior," "Human Resource Management: People, Data, and Analytics", "Principles of Management," and "Psychology and Work: Perspectives in Industrial and Organizational Psychology."

Jeanne Enders, Ph.D., Assistant Professor
Jeanne's areas of interest include the umbrella concepts of meaning and happiness in work settings and innovation in work organizations and in teaching/learning. Her current research examines the life narratives of regional ethics award winners and the role of ePortfolio development in student identity formation.

Berrin Erdogan, Ph.D., Professor, Express Employment Professionals Professor                                                                   Dr. Erdogan's research interests focus on workplace relationships, including employer-employee, manager-employee, and peer-to-peer relationships. She investigates how organizations can establish effective relations with employees through recruitment, selection, onboarding, and day-to-day management practices, and how these relationships explain the level of engagement, well-being, effectiveness, and retention in the workplace. Her work has been published in journals including Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Personnel Psychology. She served as an associate editor for Personnel Psychology and European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology, and Editor-in-Chief at Personnel Psychology. She is a member of editorial boards of Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, and Journal of Management, among others. Dr. Erdogan is a fellow of APS and SIOP.

Brady M. Firth, Ph.D., Assistant Professor
Dr. Firth‘s research focuses broadly on what enables individuals and teams to make effective adjustments to challenges at work. His research publications include articles in the Academy of Management Journal and the Journal of Applied Psychology

Sejin Keem, Ph.D., Assistant Professor
Through her research, Dr. Keem explores topics such as workplace creativity and unethical behavior. Her work has appeared in premier journals such as Organizational Behavior and Human Decisions Processes, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Journal of Management. 

Theodore Khoury, Ph.D., Professor of Management & Strategy
Dr. Khoury's research focuses on how institutions and social forces guide entrepreneurship and innovation processes. Within these domains, he explores how both formal (i.e., reforms; legal and political systems) and informal (i.e. social, cultural features) institutions enable or constrain the pursuits of entrepreneurial actors within developing countries and emerging industry settings. His theoretical and empirical work has been published in such outlets as Journal of Business Venturing, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management, Research Policy, Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, Journal of World Business, Global Strategy Journal, Business & Society, and Academy of Management Perspectives. He currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Business Venturing.

Lihong Qian, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Cameron Professor of Strategy & Entrepreneurship
Dr. Qian’s recent research resides in the intersection of industry evolution, technological change, and firm strategy. Within these domains, she explores how firms make their technological choice, how firms design their boundaries upon entering a new market or a new industry, and how such strategic choices affect firm performance. Her work has appeared in the Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Journal of International Business Studies, European Management Journal, Managerial and Decision Economics, and Journal of Property Research. 

Ji Woon (June) Ryu, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Management                                                                                                 Dr. Ryu’s research focuses on well-being and diversity issues in the workplace, especially how they are influenced by technological advancement. Her work has been published in journals including Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, The Leadership Quarterly, and Organizational Research Methods.

Shung Jae Shin, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Cameron Professor of Management
Dr. Shin's main research areas are employee creativity at work, leadership, human side of corporate mergers and acquisitions, and cross-cultural studies. His studies have been published in leading academic journals including Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of International Business Studies, Academy of Management Learning and Education, and Journal of Management Studies. He currently serves as a principal reviewer for Journal of Applied Psychology and Management and Organization Review.

Pamela Tierney, Ph.D., Professor, Ames Professor of Management of Innovation & Technology
Dr. Tierney's research focuses on the creativity stage of the innovation process in corporate settings. Her main interest is on the impact of factors such as leadership and individual attributes such as creative self-efficacy and identity on creative engagement. Dr. Tierney’s research in this area has been published in leading academic journals including the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Management Studies, and the Journal of Management. She is on the editorial board of the Journal of Management.
