Meet Professor Angela Strecker
Meet Professor Angela Strecker

Dr. Angela Strecker runs the Aquatic Ecology Lab, which investigates how patterns of biodiversity are structured by local and regional processes, such as invasive species, climate change, habitat fragmentation, and other anthropogenic stressors. Ultimately, this work leads to the question of how ecosystem functions and services may be affected by human activities. In general, the lab uses the combined approach of field surveys, small-scale and large-scale experiments, and statistical modeling to test hypotheses.

Dr. Strecker teaches courses in the areas of aquatic invasive species, limnology, and aquatic ecology, among others. She has recently published in Hydrobiologia, Aquatic Ecology, Ecological Applications, Oecologia, Fisheries, Limnology and Oceonography, and Biological Invasions.
