Greetings, accessibility and digital equity advocates! 

Many of you have done great accessibility work over the last year in partnership with the Accessibility Committee, DRC, OAI, OIT, UCOMM, etc. You may already be aware, but today, May 17, is Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD)Please consider passing the following information along to your on-campus and off-campus partners. GAAD is a great opportunity to raise awareness for online and electronic accessibility.

You can participate in GAAD by doing any of the following activities to experience the impact of digital (in)accessibility:
  1. Go Mouseless for an Hour
  2. Enlarge Your Fonts
  3. Check for Sufficient Color Contrasts
  4. Check Order of Elements
  5. Surf the Web with a Screen Reader for an Hour
  6. Learn about and Use Other OS/Mobile Accessibility Features
  7. Contribute Directly to the Digital Accessibility Effort
  8. Share How You Are Celebrating GAAD
