Assurance of Learning

About Assurance of Learning

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) evaluates student learning outcomes for each of our programs from an Assurance of Learning (AoL) process. The goal of the assessment process is for continuous improvement in student learning outcomes. Assurance of learning directly measures student learning performance in the classroom through course-embedded assessments.

Assessment of student learning provides evidence as to the success of The School of Business in meeting its mission statement:

To create positive social, ecological, and economic impact through inclusive, transformative learning and meaningful research.

Assessment of student learning outcomes is faculty driven and faculty administered in The School of Business. The Undergraduate AoL committees is responsible for the measurement, analysis and interpretation of assessments. This committee shares with the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee the responsibility for making decisions that affect curriculum. Each Graduate Program has a Programs Committee that includes the respective Academic Director and has the central responsibility for AoL and curriculum matters.
