Welcome to Risk Management at Portland State University!
The Office of Risk Management supports Portland State University’s mission by protecting the PSU community and the university’s resources. We strive to minimize the risk exposures of PSU through implementation of loss control measures, advising on best practices, regulatory compliance and securing insurance coverage over a variety of activities.
We partner with the university’s constituents to identify potential exposures and develop the most effective solutions to protect students, faculty, staff and university resources. By understanding the needs and priorities of the community, we can more effectively manage the risks inherent to a university setting.
In addition to overseeing Environmental Health & Safety and Emergency Management, the Office of Risk Management provides the following services:
- Property damage and liability claims administration
- Insurance procurement and coverage analysis
- Requests for Certificates of Insurance
- Liability waivers and releases
- Loss controls
- Risk exposure consultation
