Edward Morris, the co-editor of The Green Patriot Posters book, in conjunction with the Department of Architecture and the Institute for Sustainable Solutions, will host a book launch and lecture on Thursday, December 9, at 6 p.m. in the Shattuck Hall Annex (SW Broadway and Hall Street). A reception will follow at the Department of Architecture office on the second floor of Shattuck Hall.

In December 2010, The Canary Project and Metropolis Books celebrate the release of Green Patriot Posters, a book that brings together the strongest contemporary graphic design promoting sustainability and the fight against climate change. The book features 50 detachable and ready-to-hang artworks by artists including Shephard Fairey, Geoff McFetridge, DJ Spooky, Mike Perry, Paul Elliman, Vier5 and James Victore, and features essays by Tom Friedman, Michael Beirut, Seven Heller, Morgan Clendaniel, Dmitri Siegel and Edward Morris.

In addition to the event at Shattuck Hall, 17 of the posters from the Green Patriot Posters book will be on display at Seven Planet, 412 NW Couch Street. An opening will be held as part of Portland's First Thursday, December 2, from 7-9 p.m.
