Principal of Casagrande Laboratory, a Finland-based studio, Casagrande moves freely between architecture, urban and environmental design, science, art and circus, while contributing to the corss-over architectural thinking of commediall'architettura. "Casagrande is a model for today's young professional of what an architect should be: visionary, aesthetic, intellectual, and socially responsible," stated Christian Narkiewicz-Laine, the Finnish Museum President of the Chicago Athenaeum,. In September 2013, Casagrande was awarded the European Prize for Architecture.
