Official PSU transcripts are ordered, processed, and delivered through a secure third party ordering system, Parchment.com

Transcript Fees

Official transcripts are $8 per transcript for all transcript types, plus an additional charge for mailing paper copies ($3 domestic and $5.50 international USPS). Additional charges may apply for special requests, see below for more information.


How to Order Official Transcripts

  • If you are a current student, have attended within the last year, or know your login credentials, visit the Parchment website to log in and order with your ODIN username and password. This is the fastest way to receive your transcript!
    • If you’ve forgotten your password, click “Forgot Password” or visit the password reset page.
  • If you are not a current student and do not know your login credentials, begin the ordering process on the Parchment new account page. The Registrar’s Office will match your account to your official records. Please allow an additional 1-3 days for processing.
    • Follow the prompts to create an account. Please provide as much information as possible to ensure that your PSU records can be quickly identified
  • Follow the on screen prompts to order your official transcript(s)
    • Select product type from the Available Credentials list (Transcript - Local Pickup or Transcript - Electronic or Mail)
    • Set Delivery Destination (organization or school, yourself, or another individual)
    • Choose when to send the transcript, add attachments (if applicable) and sign
    • Continue and review the order summary
    • Enter Payment information
    • Submit payment and place your order
    • A confirmation and receipt will be emailed to you

Login Information

I don't know my login information: If you've forgotten your login credentials, you can visit the OAM Password Reset page to reset. If you are still unable to log in, please contact the Help Desk at 503.725.4357. The Help Desk is available weekdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (except on university holidays and closures). 

I don't believe I had an online account previously: If you attended prior to 2015, or did not set up an electronic account previously, you may not have account recovery information on file. You can either call the Registrar's Office at 503.725.3220, or you can submit the PSU Student Account Recovery request form. Account recovery requests are usually resolved within two business days. 

Sending to AMCAS

AMCAS accepts electronic transcripts sent via Parchment. Follow the instructions below to request your transcript with the additional information that AMCAS requires.

  1. Once you are logged into the Parchment transcript ordering system, select the "Transcript (Electronic or Mail)" credential type
  2. Search for AMCAS in the "Where would you like to send the credential?" field, and click 'search.'
  3. Select AMCAS from the search results
  4. Enter your AAMC ID and AAMC Transcript ID which is required by AMCAS
  5. Choose when to send the transcript, add attachments (if applicable) and sign
  6. Continue and review the order summary
  7. Enter Payment information
  8. Submit payment and place your order
  9. A confirmation and receipt will be emailed to you
  10. Your transcript will be sent electronically to AMCAS within 24 hours.

Sending to an Application System

When you need to have a transcript mailed with a cover sheet, or other enclosed form, there are two options to include the information from the form or attach it to your Parchment request.

If your application system allows electronic transcripts, you will be prompted to enter the Transcript Request Form Barcode from the cover sheet. Once you enter that information, you'll be able to complete your order and the transcript will be sent.

If the application system doesn't allow electronic transcripts or doesn't prompt you to enter information from your cover sheet, you'll be able to attach a copy of it to your transcript request.

  1. Make sure your form is completed and signed
  2. Scan and save the completed form so it is ready to be attached
  3. Under "Attachment (optional)" in the Order Details section of your order, browse for and attach your form (you may attach up to 10 pages)
  4. Complete your order

Third Party Transcript Requests

Colleges, universities, or businesses who are requesting official PSU transcripts on behalf of a student may request transcripts electronically via Parchment.

All third party requests must include a records release or consent form signed by the student (electronic signatures are not accepted). The release must include the student's name, previous names, dates of attendance, date of birth, and last 4 digits of the SSN (optional).

To request a student's transcript go to Parchment Third Party Ordering

For existing accounts, log in and proceed with the order.
For new users, complete the requester information to create an account.

  1. Enter the Learner's (student's) information
  2. Select the Order button and Continue
  3. Upload the signed records release form (this may be a PSU form, the Parchment provided form, or another release/consent form, as long as it is signed by the student and provides the information listed above).
  4. Provide payment information and submit the order.
  5. When the transcript is ready, an email with download instructions will be sent to the requester email address.
  6. Third party transcript requests are sent as pdf electronic transcripts and cost $8 per transcript plus an additional $10 processing fee per order.

If an electronic transcript cannot be accepted, please submit a Transcript Special Request Form, PDF, 203 KB to the Office of the Registrar for mail or fax delivery.

Enclosures and Cover Sheets

Parchment allows you to attach up to 10 pages of supporting documents to paper mailed transcripts and electronic transcripts (please verify with the recipient that they will accept electronic transcripts). Simply attach your completed form or other supporting document when entering your "order details" in Parchment. Please note that attached documentation must be completed prior to submitting your request to Parchment.

Transcript Special Request

There are a few types of requests that aren't available through Parchment. The following types of requests can be ordered with the Transcript Special Request Form, PDF, 203 KB:

  • Same Day Pick-up
  • Faxed Transcript
  • Notarized Transcript
  • Include Enclosure/Cover Sheet with a Paper Transcript
  • Legacy Unofficial Transcript (attendance prior to 1991 only)
  • Hold Override (with special permission only)

Special Request transcripts are $8 per copy, plus a $10 processing fee per order. Legacy Unofficial Transcripts do not have a fee.

Sending to a Specific Department at PSU or Another Institution

Sending to a PSU Department or Other PSU Office

If you need to send your transcript to another department within the PSU campus (such as a graduate department or scholarship committee) do not select "Portland State University" from the institution search results. This will not give you the option to send your transcript to a specific department/office. Instead, follow these instructions after logging in to Parchment:

  1. Select the credential type
    1. Electronic transcript (you will need to enter your recipient's email address)
    2. Mailed (enter the delivery address of the department/office)
    3. Pickup (you can pick up your paper transcript at the Registrar's Office)
  2. Click the "Send to Yourself, Another Individual, or Third Party" link below the search field
  3. Select your order options and enter recipient information
  4. Complete your order

Sending to Departments within Other Institutions

If you need to send your PSU transcript to a specific department or office within another institution follow these instructions after logging in to Parchment:

  1. Select the credential type
    1. Electronic transcript (you will need to enter your recipient's email address)
    2. Mailed (enter the delivery address of the department/office)
    3. Pickup (you can pick up your paper transcript at the Registrar's Office)
  2. Click the "Send to Yourself, Another Individual, or Third Party" link below the search field
  3. Select your order options and enter recipient information
  4. Complete your order
