Education: B.A. in Family Human Services & Spanish. Minor in Ethnic Studies, University of Oregon

Experience: Prior to joining PSU, Mila worked for Oregon Family Support Network, Oregon's Statewide Family-ran Non-Profit Organization, as their Regional Director for Clackamas & Marion Counties contracts. Her journey in this work started in 2009 when she joined the Wraparound OR: Early Childhood Service Team as their Family Partner. Building a System of Care across sectors has become her expertise. She’s developed leadership and operational skills within management and staff to assure meaningful youth and family involvement. She offers a unique combination of instructional/public-speaking expertise and SOC & Wraparound expertise due to depth of exceptional presentation and discussion facilitation skills that she's gained in the past 6 years. In addition to her experience and personal qualities such as being bilingual, bi-cultural, she has a solid educational foundation, and a sincere passion for systems change which include performance management and training optimization In addition to training facilitators & new family partners. She’s been a content expert on various subjects. Has provided training's across Oregon, and has given recommendations on content & curriculum with the focus on  being culturally responsive and inclusive with in the Systems of Care & the families they work with. 

Teaching/Training Area or Interests: Systems of Care, Wraparound, Family & Youth Driven Care, Equity & Inclusion in Systems of Care, Cultural Competency & Relevancy in Mental Health Systems. Consultation in working with Latino, Monolingual Families.
