Adolfo G. Cuevas, a doctoral student in Applied Psychology, has been awarded a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University beginning September 2015. Adolfo's dissertation explores the role of racial identity in African Americans' healthcare experiences. He is advised by Professor Kerth O'Brien.

Adolfo will focus his postdoctoral research on better understanding how ecological and psychosocial factors influence cancer risks among African Americans and Latinos/Latinas. He plans to eventually develop effective cancer prevention interventions to reduce cancer health disparities among these groups.
