Ron Blaj joined PSU in January 2011, after having served from late 2008 through 2010 as consultant Project Manager on PSU's Lincoln Hall Seismic and Systems Upgrade. In his current capacity, Ron and his team are responsible for all project and construction management activities on capital projects at PSU, from concept and early budgeting, through design, construction, and occupancy. He manages a staff of 20 architects, engineers, project managers, administrators, temporary employees, and students as well as the 20 employee PSU in-house alterations and construction team. He enjoys working with his highly-skilled, competent, and energetic team.
Ron came to PSU after a diverse career, working first for a large engineering and construction firm as a Construction Management Consultant, as Operations Manager for a mechanical contractor, and as Senior Project Manager for a local project management consulting firm. He has had the opportunity to work on many types of projects, in both the public and private sector. He is a registered professional engineer, with a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of California at Davis and an MS in Construction Engineering & Management from Stanford University.
