I worked for 30 years as a bibliographer and antiquarian bookseller. I study and publish in several fields of historical research, usually with an emphasis on relevant philosophical, theoretical, and ethical issues. My book, A Personalist Philosophy of History, will be published by Routledge in 2019.

History of ideas; philosophy of history; early printing and engraving; history of communications; Plato and Platonism; the Middle Ages; the Rococo in Europe; philosophical ethics.
