A Memorial Day message of gratitude

Dear Campus Community,

This Memorial Day, let us pause and take a moment to thank the many people whose sacrifices keep our country and community safe and healthy. On this holiday, we specifically recognize our veterans and thank them for their service. 

The circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic have reminded us all that heroes take many forms, and I would like to also recognize the first responders, health care workers and other essential workers who put themselves in harm’s way to protect us — you have our profound gratitude and respect.

On behalf of the entire Portland State community, thank you for your service, care and commitment.
