What: Renee Edwards, M.D.

Dr. Edwards will talk about a hospital in Africa that she and other medical people travel to for about two weeks each year to deliver medical services and supplies.  It's a project that she pioneered and gathered others to help carry out. 

Dr. Edwards graduated from Loyola University, Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago in 1989. She took an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago in 1993 and a fellowship there in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery in 1995. She joined the staff at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in 1999 as an assistant professor and the clinical director of the Pelvic Floor Treatment Center.


The Retired Associates of Portland State University (RAPSU) is a membership organization for the adults who are 50 years old or older. Members share opportunities for intellectual, social, and personal growth in a university setting. Membership is open to all seniors; no association with PSU required.
