Art and Installation Requests

Current PSU students, faculty, and staff have the opportunity to request to display temporary installations on the PSU campus.

To make a request, please use the Art and Installation Request Form. This form is also used when requesting the use of sidewalk chalk on pavements and surfaces around the campus. Please also refer to the Art and Installation Safety Guidelines.

Note: If you choose to type your responses into the form, please save the PDF to your desktop before you complete it to avoid issues with the text being lost.

The Art and Installation Review Panel who make decisions about temporary art installations are:

  • Director of Capital Projects and Construction
  • Director of Facilities and Property Management.
  • Director of Environmental Health and Safety
  • Fire Prevention Manager
  • Director of Campus Planning and Design (for exterior spaces only)
  • Department Head and Facility Manager (for department controlled buildings and spaces such as Academic and Student Recreation Center, Smith Memorial Student Union, University Place Hotel, Housing buildings)
  • Depart Head or Dean (for academic spaces).

The panel ensure that: installations are performed within required building codes; materials selected are low maintenance, weather resistant, vandal proof and appropriate for intended installation; the art installation does not pose a risk to the health and safety of the campus community.
