Portland State has unveiled a website for videos that spotlight the school’s array of “Changemakers.”
The website features productions that feature students, staff and faculty who “fearlessly dream up new ways of doing things and develop novel solutions” to various social and environmental problems.
The Changemaker moniker comes courtesy of Ashoka U, which dubbed the Portland campus as a “Changemaker Campus” because of the school’s commitment to “galvanizing solutions to global challenges.” The Ashoka group is an international entrepreneurs’ network devoted to social impact endeavors.
The site features insights from psychology student Brian Forrester, Indigenous Nations Studies instructor Judy BlueHorse Skelton, graduate student Ahmed Abidine and art and social practice professor Harrell Fletcher.
