After 21 years living in New York and Los Angeles, Rod has spent his career working as a Broadway, Television and Award Winning Actor across the Nation and Internationally. He now calls the Pacific Northwest home and is very much looking forward to sharing his knowledge of Theatre, TV and Musical Theatre to the students here at PSU. Rod has worked along side and personally learned from many leading professionals in the Entertainment Industry including, Tony Award winners Susan Stroman, John Kander, Kenny Leon, Richard Maltby, Jr; Tony Nominated, Michael Greif, Christopher Ashley, Donald Byrd, Marcia Milgrom Dodge and Sergio Trujillo; Visionaries, Chris Coleman, Gordon Greenberg, Daniel Beaty, Martin Platt, Lynne Taylor Corbett, David Armstrong, Peter Sellars, Kent Thompson, Irene Lewis, Lisa Portes, among others. As an actor Rod has originated roles on Broadway, Off-Broadway, World Premiere plays & musicals across the nation and internationally. Some of his Acting accomplishments include, The Scottsboro Boys (Original Cast), RENT (Original and Closing Casts), Jesus Christ Superstar (Original Revival Cast), Jacques Brel is Alive and Well… (2006 Revival Cast), World Premiere ‘Come From Away’ at La Jolla Playhouse, among others. Rod is also the writer and co-lyricist of the new musical, ‘PWP’ (perfect works in progress). Rod has recently started, The Present Moment Actor Studio, based here in Portland, but works with actors and organizations nationally as well.  Rod and his husband have two amazing dogs, Trevor and Logan.
