Meet Stacie Taniguchi
Greetings! My name is Stacie Taniguchi and I am the Assistant Director of the Cultural Resource Centers at PSU. Originally from Los Angeles, CA, I am a fourth generation Japanese American (or Yonsei) with roots in Hiroshima, Shizuoka, and Wakayama.
Before coming to PSU, I attended the University of California, Santa Barbara for my undergraduate work in Film & Media Studies. While at UCSB, I was a student assistant at the Women, Gender, and Sexual Equity Department, and was an active member of the Student Commission on Racial Equity, helping plan the state-wide Student of Color Conference.

After graduating, I continued my studies at the University of West Georgia, where I earned my M.Ed. in Professional Counseling and College Student Affairs. During my time at UWG, I worked as a graduate assistant at the Center for Diversity & Inclusion supporting cultural programming and queer and trans initiatives, at the First-Year Experience Office serving underrepresented and under-resourced incoming students, and in Housing and Residence Life as an intern for Diversity & Social Justice Initiatives.

I've been at PSU since 2014 and I am so grateful to work with so many outstanding student leaders (seriously, do y'all know how extraordinary you are?!) Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, waking up early on weekends to watch English Premier League soccer, and exploring the Pacific Northwest one bowl of ramen at a time.
