Ms. Jacobs is a versatile and vibrant performer whose repertoire ranges from oratorio to jazz. She earned a bachelor’s degree in music from Portland State University, where she studied with acclaimed mezzo-soprano, Angela Niederloh, and jazz vocalist, clinician and educator, Jeff Baker. She also studied the Blaylock Vocal Method with Tom Blaylock at Northwest Institute of Voice.

An avid and active choral singer for the past 25 years, Ms. Jacobs has sung with various groups including the David York Ensemble and Seattle Pro Musica. She also served as chancel choir soloist and children’s choir director at Bethel United Church of Christ in Beaverton, Oregon

In addition to teaching jazz voice students at PSU, Ms. Jacobs maintains an active private voice studio.
