Are you an undergraduate student interested in pursing a Ph.D.? If you are a first-generation college student and low-income qualified or a member of an underrepresented group you are eligible to apply for the Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program at PSU. Applications are due Thursday, November 1, for the program starting winter term 2013.

Through academic seminars, the program introduces juniors and seniors to academic research and to effective strategies for getting into and graduating from Ph.D. programs. McNair Scholars have the opportunity to participate in academic conferences and work closely with faculty mentors on original research during summer internships that provide a $2,800 stipend.
