About Suzanne Nance

"As a radio host and as a singer, Suzanne Nance's vibrancy and commitment attract audiences." - Portland Press Herald

Proclaimed the “Queen of Classical” by Maine's Portland Press Herald, Suzanne Nance is an award-winning broadcaster, soprano and arts ambassador who has produced and hosted dozens of radio and TV programs and documentaries. Prior to working as Vice President of Programming and afternoon on-air host at All Classical Portland (Oregon), Nance hosted the afternoon drive-time radio show on WFMT Chicago and co-produced and hosted Lyric Opera of Chicago's internationally syndicated radio broadcast series.

As a singer, Ms. Nance consistently delights with her artistry and musical excellence on the operatic, concert and recital stages. Hailed for her “crystalline voice” (Bangor Daily News) with “volcanic power” (Downeast Magazine) and exceptional dramatic abilities and comedic timing, Nance is a performer that “has it all.”  She is a frequent guest lecturer and writer about music and an active arts ambassador and speaks nationally about the power of music, the benefits of arts education and the importance of supporting cultural economy.
