Applications for this internship are accepted on a term-by-term basis in Fall, Winter and Spring

The Middle East Studies Center’s Event Correspondent will take an active role in a range of projects to increase and improve the impact of the Center’s programming.

Applicants should have strong writing and research skills and excellent organizational skills and time management. Applicants should be able to work well independently and as part of a team and should be able to dedicate 7-10 hours per week to this unpaid internship.

Responsibilities include:

  • Attending, photographing and drafting synopses of public events, including lectures, panel discussions, workshops and cultural events for use on the Center’s websites and annual newsletter
  • Producing and hosting the Center’s Lecture Series podcast
  • Recording, monitoring and interpreting event evaluations
  • Developing and instituting new methods of leveraging the Center’s programming to create effective and efficient impact
