Portland State University has the opportunity to create one of the leading programs in Middle East Studies in the entire country.  Academic excellence will have far-reaching benefits for the campus and local community alike.  It will support world-class research and training;  better connect PSU with international strategic partners and facilitate its growth and development;  raise the cultural profile of the university and city;  and create a vibrant program of academic and cultural events for students and community members who have an interest in global affairs

You may give online through the Portland State University Foundation’s website. Donations can be made to support the Center’s operations and outreach program, or targeted to fund Turkish, Iranian and Arab studies at Portland State. The Middle East Studies Center also welcomes contributions to the Patricia and Gary Leiser Endowed Scholarship in Middle Eastern Languages; the Elizabeth Ducey Scholarship; the John Damis Middle East Studies Scholarship for International Studies and Political Science Majors; and the Mandaville Library Support fund. The Center works closely with Portland State’s Harold Schnitzer Family Program in Judaic Studies and the Center for Turkish Studies.
