Dr. Rachmuth earned a Bachelor’s degree in computer science in 1998 from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and a Master's degree in 2004 from the Tel-Aviv University in Religious Studies. The title of his thesis was "A Great Space Being between Them: A Kohutian Reading of the Books of Samuel." In 2004, he moved to Eugene, where he completed his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature in 2010. His dissertation is entitled, "The Speculative Ethics of Modern Comedic Work: Mark Twain, Italo Svevo, Charlie Chaplin and Lenny Bruce."
An Essay on Charlie Chaplin has been published in Film-philosophy on fall 2012.
Moshe's professional interests include Hebrew literature and film, theories of humor and comedy and building of digital tools for text analysis.
