Kenton Women's Village film on view at Hollywood Theatre at Portland International Airport

Air travelers coming through Portland International Airport this winter can be reinvigorated with a dose of hope and inspiration at the tiny Hollywood Theatre microcinema. Included among the 12 short films on view is filmmaker Zach Putnam's "Kenton Women's Village: Village Building."  

The powerful story shows how a group of Portland residents, nonprofits and agencies, including PSU School of Architecture's Center for Public Interest Design, came together to create this tiny community of micro dwellings for houseless women. Since it was founded in 2017, the village has helped more than two dozen houseless women transition to permanent housing.
