“Our zip code may be more important than our genetic code in determining our health,” says Larry Wallack, Director of the Center for Public Health Studies in PSU's School of Community Health. He is part of a team of sixty researchers and analysts at the Moore Institute for Nutrition and Wellness at Oregon Health & Science University who work in a field called epigenetics, which is the study of the layer of information that surrounds the genetic code.
