Dr. Sarah Tinkler

Dr. Tinkler received her B.A. from Cambridge University in England in 1982 and her Ph.D. from University of Oregon in 1989.  Before coming to PSU, she was Professor of Economics, the Century Institute International Scholar, and Director of International Programs in the Goddard School of Business and Economics at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.  She has also served as a Senior Economic Analyst at the Department of Health in London, UK. Dr. Tinkler has published in the areas of foreign direct investment, the economics of criminality, economics of education and the economics of gender.  Currently she is working on papers in the economics of education. Her teaching interests include international economics, macroeconomics, the economics of gender, and labor economics. Dr. Tinkler is the undergraduate advisor for the Department of Economics.
