Welcome to the McNair Scholars Program

As a McNair scholar, you are expected to enroll in UNST 407: Research Seminar in Winter, Spring and Summer.  The seminars will help you develop a research proposal, clarify your research question, complete an original research project, and create compelling applications to graduate and doctoral programs. The assignments for the seminars support these goals. Please check syllabi and the seminar D2L for assignments and deadlines.


Winter Quarter

Week 7: Self-Care and Stress Management

Week 10: Preparation for Summer Research Internship 


Summer Quarter

Scholars will meet once a week over the summer either in person or online in our hybrid.  Assignments due during the summer are to help you prepare for the McNair Symposium and to complete your research project and paper on time and finalize abstracts for the McNair Journal or for other scholarly publications.
