Portland State University and KGW are hosting a town hall discussion on the cost of college and student debt. It's free, but tickets are required to get into the event at PSU. Get them online or at the PSU box office.

Featured speakers include:
The event starts at 8:30 a.m. on the 3rd floor of the Smith Ballroom, 1825 SW Broadway. It's set to conclude at 12:30 p.m. with the workshop.
It will be interesting to hear from Kantrowitz. He expressed skepticism to the idea of allowing students to attend Oregon schools with no money down. The Oregon Legislature set up a commission to study the feel-good idea, drawing nationwide media attention. But for now, it's just that: An idea to be studied.
Kantrowitz's talk, entitled "Student debt: myths, realities and what's ahead," will undoubtedly touch upon it. He's slated to begin speaking at 8:50 a.m. Chopra is scheduled to speak at 10:45 a.m. on "What's being done and where we need to go."
It's Only Money plans to live Tweet or live blog those speeches. Check back here Wednesday morning or follow on Twitter at @onlymoney.
