MA TESOL alum earns position as a training and curriculum specialist for the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services

Congratulations to MA TESOL alum Samuel Cooke, who is now a Training and Curriculum Specialist in the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services. After 10 years of teaching ESL, Samuel became increasingly interested in instructional design (ID) and started his new position last year, finding "ID is an excellent fit for someone with a background in TESOL."  Samuel also asked that we pass along his "thanks to all the faculty, staff, and fellow students who shared those years with me and supported me.  I’m very grateful for the education I received in graduate school, especially the lessons on culture, equity, and power. You all opened my eyes."
