Faculty Food for Thought: The Impact of Mouthpiece Ventilation on Speech in Men with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy
Join PSU's chapter of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) for its next event, "Faculty Food for Thought with Dr. Britton."
Deanna Britton is a faculty member in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences and at the Northwest Center for Voice & Swallowing in the Department of Otolaryngology (NWCVS) - Head & Neck Surgery at OHSU. Her research interests include respiratory support for speech and swallowing and cough effectiveness. She will be presenting on the topic, "The impact of mouthpiece ventilation on speech in men with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy." Her presentation will be followed by a Q&A.
The event is open to all faculty, students and community members.
At our events, NSSLHA invites: joining late, fidgeting, stimming, walking around, laying down, eating/drinking, engaging with your camera on or off, using any modality to communicate, and more.
