In 2018, the Portland State University Russian Flagship Program received a grant to strengthen linkages between

K-12 Russian and Dual Immersion programs and the Russian Flagship. This effort provides funding for a number of initiatives: professional training workshops for K-12 Dual Immersion teachers; curriculum development and professional support activities for K-12 teachers of Russian as a World Language; and promotion of stronger connections between K-12 Russian Language educators, programs, and the Language Flagship community.

The current project continues long-standing successful collaborations between Portland State University, University of Oregon, and their partners to strengthen linkages between programs in Chinese and Russian in schools, community colleges, and universities in the Pacific Northwest.
