Flexibility & Focus

The B.A. in International & Global Studies is an interdisciplinary degree that draws on approaches from multiple fields like sociology, economics, communications, history, and more. Students majoring in International & Global Studies choose to focus on Global Studies, International Development Studies, or one of these regional areas: Africa, East Asia, Europe, Latin America, or the Middle East.

Our faculty and professional advisors work with you to customize your degree based on your intellectual and career interests including optional study abroad and internship opportunities.

Online or In Person

All International & Global Studies major requirements can be completed online, in person, or in a hybrid format. With the exception of the Language requirement. However you can transfer in your exsisting language credits or test out of it by following the steps here.

Make a Difference at Home or Abroad

The International & Global Studies degree affords an excellent foundation for careers requiring an understanding of international economic, political, social and cultural affairs, as well as a solid foundation for graduate work in professional fields such as journalism, international relations, public health, or community development.

Our graduates have gone on to find positions in international business, as well as nonprofits and government organizations where they work on a wide variety of topics such as food systems, education, agriculture and the environment, youth empowerment, and health.
