Dr. Vicki Wise Elected to Two National Assessment Boards

Dr. Vicki Wise who leads assessment efforts for the division of Enrollment Management & Student Affairs has recently been elected to two national assessment boards. Dr. Wise will serve on the Student Affairs Assessment Leadership (SAAL) board as well as on the Directorate Board for the American College Personnel Association’s Commission for Assessment and Evaluation. Both organizations have similar missions and goals of discovering and promoting best practices in the field of assessing student learning.

Dr. Wise serves as Coordinator for Assessment & Research at Portland State University.  She oversees assessment, planning, and reporting  for the Division of Enrollment Management & Student Affairs. She leads PSU’s Student Affairs Assessment Council, which promotes a culture of evidence of student learning and development for student services and programs.  

Prior to PSU, Dr. Wise held the positions of Director of Assessment and Evaluation for the College of Education, Assistant Director for Institutional Research, and Assistant Professor/Research Administrator in the Center for Assessment and Research Studies all at James Madison University. She earned her PhD and MA degrees at the University of Nebraska in Psychological and Cultural Studies and Educational Psychology, respectively.
