Tucker Childs recently published A dictionary of the Sherbro language with the help of many, many people. In addition to his main research assistant Abdulai Bendu in Sierra Leone, he had help from others at his research site in Shenge, Sierra Leone: Albert Yanker, Jalikatu Kumba, and Paramount Chief Doris Lenga-Gbabioyor, as well as other Sherbro speakers. More locally his research assistants were: sometimes student Jedd Schrock and linguistics graduate Allan Wilson. The book contains some 4,000 headwords in Sherbro, a dying language on the coast of Sierra Leone.
