Luncheon Session for New and Newer Faculty: Success in Your Tenure Track Faculty Role
Wednesday, February 14, 2018 - 12:00pm

There are multiple demands on your time for teaching, research and service. How will you decide how to spend your time and get constructive feedback on your work? What accomplishments and efforts will stand out when it is time for your 3rd and 6th year reviews? How do you document them? In the meantime, how do you decide how to spend your time and get constructive feedback on your work? How can you establish a collaborative scholarly community within or outside of you department?

This session will help you with these questions. While the details related to these questions are best answered in your department, this session will help you create a roadmap and identify the points that are critical along the way to success as a faculty member and a positive promotion and tenure review outcome.

Presenters/discussion facilitators: Shelly Chabon, Vice Provost for Academic Personnel and Leadership Development; and Janelle DeCarrico Voegele, Director of Teaching, Learning and Assessment, Office of Academic Innovation.

Lunch will be served.
