The Learning Center

The mission of the Learning Center is to foster the learning process by empowering PSU students to accomplish their academic and personal goals. In addition to helping you with your current coursework, the Learning Center's academic support services can assist you in developing effective learning strategies. Utilize their resources to enhance your academic success.

PSU Library

The library is a great place to study and get research help!

Study Abroad

As a PSU student, many international opportunities are available to you through our Education Abroad Office. PSU works with a variety of program providers to offer Education Abroad opportunities worldwide. All of the programs listed on the Study Abroad website are approved for PSU credit. You can search by location, major, duration, or program provider to find the study abroad experience that is right for you.

TRIO Student Support

The mission of programs is to expand educational opportunity to persons often underrepresented in higher education, increase the retention and graduation rates of eligible low income, first generation and disabled students and to foster an institutional climate supportive of the success for those students through comprehensive services and advocacy.

McNair Scholars Program

The PSU McNair Scholars Program works with selected first-generation, low-income and under-represented undergraduates who want to pursue PhDs. McNair scholars conduct research under the supervision of faculty mentors and create effective strategies for getting into and graduating from doctoral programs.

Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Program

The LSAMP Program is committed to supporting the success of students from historically underrepresented groups pursuing and earning a bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). With support from the National Science Foundation and the Provost's Office at PSU, we provide mentorship, activities, events, and opportunities for students at Portland State University or from our local community colleges.

Build Exito

BUILD EXITO is an undergraduate research training program that supports students on their pathway to become scientific researchers. The BUILD EXITO Model aims to identify students early in their college career and engage them in finding solutions to today's major health problems.

The Financial Wellness Center in Student Financial Services empowers students to make healthy financial decisions and to prepare for their financial wellness after they graduate.

Multicultural Retention Services

MRS provides academic support, advising, referrals, and advocacy to students who are first generation, low income and/or from diverse and multicultural backgrounds. MRS strives to ensure the academic success, retention and graduation of students through structured programs. Get help with technology from the Helpdesk

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) Helpdesk is the central campus resource for technology assistance for students, faculty, and staff. You can contact the Helpdesk about:

  • Odin accounts
  • Computers labs and printing
  • Gmail and Google’s G Suite applications
  • Canvas online learning system
  • Information security
  • Servers and storage
  • Wi-Fi wireless internet access

Student Legal Services

SLS provides free legal consultations and representation to currently enrolled, fee-paying PSU students. Student Legal Services can assist with topics such as family law, consumer law, criminal law, employment, small claims, personal injury, traffic and so much more!
