Info Session: London-History of Rock and Roll

Date: Tuesday, November 12
Time: 3:00 - 3:50
Location: KMC 605

  • 2 weeks spent exploring Music in London
  • 4 credits toward Junior Cluster-Popular Culture and American Identities

The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Punk Music and the list goes on. What better way to experience the History of Rock than in England? The plan is to visit Abbey Roads Studio and Crossing, A Magical Mystery Tour, British Music Experience and the Beatles Story. In addition, we will try to attend as many concerts as possible and check out the British fashion scene.

Professor Joel Bluestone first designed and offered the History of Rock course in 1990. History of Rock Music I and II will both be offered. MUS 361U/362U are part of the Popular Culture and American Identities clusters. On a fun note, every year since 1990 Bluestone has asked his History of Rock classes who their top 5 favorite bands of all time are, and has accumulated 28 years of data. If you wish to know the results, see you in London!
