Stephen Haigh has lived in Europe, North America, Asia, Micronesia, and Oceania, and has taught at universities in Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. He has worked in various capacities in the private and not-for-profit sectors--and in public service as an international policy analyst for the Government of Canada and at the United Nations. His 2013 book Future States: From International to Global Political Order, examines the trajectory of and prospects for the sovereign state, from Westphalia to the 21st century and beyond. Adjunct Professor of Political Science at PSU since January 2017, Dr. Haigh is slated to teach National and International Security Policy, Contemporary Theories of World Politics, Regional Security Perspectives, and Introduction to International Relations.
