Scott Burns, Geology emeritus faculty, was given the prestigious Robert Schuster Medal for Landslide and Geological Hazard Work on Sept. 20 at the International Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment Congress in San Francisco, Sept. 17-21. The award is given annually by the Canadian Geotechnical Society and the Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists to the top person in landslide and geological hazards.
