Join professor Charles Klein in Sao Paulo, Brazil to investigate a large and multidimensional urban food system in action! Activities will include visiting farms, farmer’s markets, food distribution centers, municipal and state Food and Nutritional Security Councils, community-based restaurants, food activists, food trucks, and restaurants. We will also arrange a number of cultural outings to enable students to get to know some of the many social worlds that co-exist in an urban area with nearly 20 million inhabitants.
