The #5 Best Green MBA ranking makes PSU’s School of Business a top program nationwide and the greenest MBA in Oregon. The best part? The result is based on student endorsement.
Through an 80-question survey, The Princeton Review gathers insights from 143,000 students at 381 schools. The Best Green MBA ranking, in particular, assesses how well students think their school is preparing them to tackle issues of environmental and social responsibility and to build a career in a job market that recognizes the value of sustainability.
“We are proud that our key ranking reflects our values and what is truly important to our students, who believe that businesses can be profitable while driving positive change,” says PSU MBA Academic Director Tichelle Sorensen.
Students who completed The Princeton Review’s survey observed a strong focus on civic engagement and environmental sustainability among their peers. Inside and outside of the classroom, PSU faculty and administrative staff are also committed to minimizing the environmental impact of doing business.
At #5, PSU  joins the ranks of some of the most prestigious private and public institutions, including University of Vermont’s Grossman School of Business, Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management, Yale University’s School of Management, and University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business.
On a global level, The Portland MBA ranks #71 out of 141 colleges across the world by Canada-based Corporate Knights’ Better World MBA ranking, another endorsement focused on environmental and social impacts. PSU’s School of Business is the only Oregon school to make the cut, and narrowly beat out the Ivy League’s Dartmouth, Cornell, and Columbia.
