On Saturday, February 9, at 7:00 pm at Mother Foucault’s Bookshop, Portland State Film Associate Professor Dustin Morrow will discuss his new book, Kathleen Turner on Acting: Conversations about Film, Television, and Theater. Prof. Morrow’s book is structured around a series of conversations Morrow conducted with the legendary actress about such subjects as the relationship between an actor and a director, the preparation an actor must do for a role, and the differences between stage and screen acting. The book was endorsed by filmmaker Sofia Coppola and has been featured on SalonLarry King NowGood Morning America and CBS This Morning. It was an Amazon bestseller and was featured in the New York Times’s 2018 roundup of the best books for the holidays.
