Workshop: "Winning Grants: SBIR/STTR Proposal Writing"
Friday, March 4, 2005 - 7:30am to Friday, March 4, 2005 - 5:00pm
Oregon's Lab2Market Initiative, housed at Portland State University, is hosting a "Winning Grants: SBIR/STTR Proposal Writing" workshop designed to educate entrepreneurs, researchers and grant writers on what it takes to win Phase I research dollars through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology
Transfer (STTR) programs. SBIR and STTR are sources of early-stage funds for technology-based companies.

Guest speakers Mark Henry, principal of PBC, Inc. in Denver, Co., and Randy Dipner, a consultant to PBC, will speak about the $2 billion available annually from the federal government to encourage small business innovations and how to successfully fund projects through the SBIR and STTR programs. Participants will also be able to network with other inventors from around Oregon.

World Trade Center, Mezzanine Level, Building 2, 121 SW Salmon, Portland, OR, 97204

The workshop is free and open to the public, but reservations are required as space is limited.
