The day will consist of tabling of zines, an open-mic and raffle session, a workshop lead by LaMesha Melton (creator of Cocoa/Puss zine), and will end with a performance by local all female/multi-cultural rap group, RoseBent. The main purpose of the symposium is to provide women of color with a way to connect with each other creatively, and to create a more visible presence in Portland of the women of color culture here. Allies are welcomed to attend.

The WOC Zine group is seeking volunteers to help with fundraising, promotion, greeters, photographer etc and those interested in tabling at the event. The WOC Zine group also welcomes women of color artists to contribute to future zine issues.
