The Women's Resource Center at Portland State University is proud to announce their fall Feminisms Conference, entitled Under Pressure: Women, Oppression, and Leadership.

The conference will consist of both workshops and roundtable discussions designed to illuminate how gender oppression cannot be addressed without understanding oppression based on race, class, ethnicity, and sexuality. Workshops will examine how oppressions intersect to further marginalize and disenfranchise women, and address how marginalization hinders women from achieving their full potential. The conference will also provide a forum to build coalitions between campus groups working for social justice.

The Women's Resource Center seeks to empower women and to encourage their active and equal participation in all levels of the university community and the larger society. We encourage the participation of ALL people in the community as we strive to provide a safe and supportive environment for self-identified women.
