The Threaded Line is a collection of etchings by Se Won Kim, who is a visiting scholar at Portland State University. Using meticulous etching skills, he has rendered images of Venus of Willendorf, a chestnut, a fish, a knot, a nail, and a screw, exhibiting a great attention to detail.

Gender is a consistent theme in Se Won Kim's work, and he has been preparing this exhibition since September, 2010. He has drawn from his recent experiences, taking inspiration from natural objects found in Portland.

He plans to introduce art lovers to this style of printmaking, which he achieved by etching images onto zinc and copper.
