"Sustainable Food Supply Chain" Research Presentation
Friday, May 11, 2007 - 3:00pm to Friday, May 11, 2007 - 4:30pm

We invite you to attend Dr. Mellie Pullman's presentation of her research entitled "Sustainable Food Supply Chain" on Friday, May 11th at 3:00 pm in Smith Center, Room 229. Mellie received one of four research awards made last year from the Center for Sustainable Processes and Practices (CSP2) to further sustainability scholarship at PSU.

The following is a brief description of her research:

"The purpose of this research is to determine current operational practices (i.e., nature of procurement of products, product transportation distances to and from plant, specific manufacturing/processing practices), plant agility for segregated products (commodity versus organic and sustainable), intention to adopt any sustainable practices or guidelines, and priorities for and specific obstacles to adoption."

We hope you will be able to join us for Mellie's seminar. Please feel free to share this announcement with other faculty and students who may be interested in attending. Please contact Elizabeth Minor at if you have questions about the sustainability seminar series.
