This month we highlight student projects from two Fall
2004 classes at the NW Film Center: Digital Video
Editing and Cinematography.

Digital Video Editing is a hands-on introductory
course using multiple editing exercises to teach basic
off-line video editing skills.

Cinematography is an introductory course enabling
students to develop a solid working practice with
motion picture cameras, while gaining a confident
understanding of the art of image making.

Portland State University maintains a
cross-registration program with the Film Center
through the Department of English's Center for
Excellence in Writing. Individuals from the general
public may receive transferable undergraduate credit
for any Film Center course. Film Center classes may
also be applied to a new Minor in Film Studies offered
by the PSU English, Theatre and Communications
