Executive Director, Northwest Connections

Melanie Parker leads Northwest Connections, a community based conservation and education organization in Montana’s Swan Valley.  She coordinates a number of concentric efforts in place-based conservation in the Northern Rockies. She was the recipient of the Cecil D. Andrus Leadership Award for Conservation and Sustainability in 2009. 


Nils Christoffersen
Executive Director, Wallowa Resources

Nils D. Christoffersen is the Executive Director of Wallowa Resources, an organization he joined in 1999. Over the past 13 years, he has helped develop Wallowa Resources’ watershed stewardship and education programs, and their investments in small log / biomass processing and marketing. Nils' work  includes 6 years in Eastern and Southern Africa, with an emphasis on community based natural resource management. He currently serves on the Oregon Board of Forestry and Chairs the Enterprise School Board.
